CMS - NLN Gateway Debriefing Course: Learning to Use Debriefing with Good Judgment

Dr. Mary Fey has been working in the field of clinical simulation since 2007 and has been responsible for developing clinical simulation programs, integrating simulation into nursing curricula, and designing and simulation labs. Currently, her work focuses on faculty development for simulation educators. She is Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland School of Nursing and a Research Fellow at the Center for Medical Simulation at the Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital.

This highly interactive course will leverage the best of online learning with in-person immersive learning. Utilizing deliberate practice, participants are given multiple opportunities to practice debriefing skills and receive feedback from expert simulation educators. Small groups of learners will work with co-facilitators to hone their ability to apply the foundational skills of Debriefing With Good Judgment©
